About the Mohegan
The Mohegan are from Connecticut, not Wisconsin.
They operate a mega-casino in Connecticut called the Mohegan Sun, which is bigger than the Ho-Chunk, Oneida and Potawatomi casinos combined. In fact, the Mohegan’s Connecticut casino is so big, it sucks billions of dollars from Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey.
In their Connecticut casino alone, they take in over $1 billion annually.
The Mohegan have begun an aggressive casino expansion strategy to become a national gaming chain, and so far has bought a casino in Pennsylvania. They are also looking to open casinos in Kansas, New York and Washington.
The casino they want to build in Kenosha, Wisconsin would cost $1 billion to build and be the largest casino between Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
