Has the Mohegan Kenosha casino project been tainted by scandal?

This past week, a business man with close ties to the proposed off-reservation casino project in Kenosha was charged in federal court with aiding in a conspiracy to make more than $250,000 in illegal campaign contributions to federal and state candidates.

According to the indictment, one of the goals of the donations was to help secure an Indian casino in Kenosha.

This is the second time this year that someone with close ties to the Kenosha casino project has faced criminal charges for violating campaign finance laws.

In June, the former developer of the Kenosha casino, Dennis Troha, pleaded guilty to similar charges in federal court.

Do we really want this in Wisconsin?
