   - Mohegan Expand Their Gaming Empire

Thank you for signing up with Wisconsin Gaming for Wisconsin. Our group is committed to ensuring that gaming in Wisconsin continues to benefit Wisconsin tribes, not outside interests.

In order to keep you informed we will send you news and information from time to time about outside gaming interests in Wisconsin.

As you already know, the Kenosha casino project is part of a Connecticut tribe’s aggressive off-reservation casino expansion strategy to become a national gaming chain. Just consider that in the last month the Mohegan have:

Looked into expanding their interests to Massachusetts:

“Mohegan Sun operators talk Massachusetts casino” Boston Herald, August 1, 2007.

Studied the possibility of opening a new mega-casino in Atlantic City:

“Mohegan tribe studies Atlantic City for new casino” Press of Atlantic City, July 19, 2007.

Considered opening more operations in New York:

“Mohegan Sun joins bidder for New York racing” Associated Press, July 16, 2007.

It’s obvious that the Mohegan have become a national gaming interest.
We may as well have MGM or Donald Trump come and build a casino in Wisconsin!
